Plan Overview
Iriomote Island is a World Natural Heritage site. We have prepared two activities to fully enjoy the rich nature of Iriomote Island. First, enjoy the sunrise while cruising through the mangrove forest before dawn by sap or canoe.
After that, we will go snorkeling at “Barasu Island,” a miraculous island made of coral reef fragments. Spend a special time experiencing nature with all your senses.
Sunrise cruising in mangrove forest
The quiet mangrove forests before dawn are filled with a mysterious atmosphere that differs from that of during the day.
While riding in a sap or canoe, enjoy the beautiful sight of the sky brightening with the sunrise and the light reflecting on the surface of the water. You will enjoy the luxury of cruising and feeling the comfortable breeze.
Difference between SUP and Canoe
Sap is paddled by one person standing on a board and using a paddle. Canoeing can be done by two people, so it can be enjoyed by couples, friends, and families.

Snorkeling at the miraculous “Barasu Island”
After the sunrise cruise, we will go snorkeling at the miraculous “Barasu Island”.
Barras Island is made of coral reef fragments and appears only at low tide. The surrounding area is home to colorful tropical fish and coral reefs that will welcome you. Enjoy snorkeling in this vibrant underwater world.

1. Pick up and drop off
The pick up and drop off area is Uehara Port in Iriomote Island and hotels in Uehara area in Iriomote Island.
2. How to contact us after booking the tour
The guide will contact you by e-mail or phone when the reservation is confirmed.
The guide will contact you the day before the reservation date for details such as pick up and drop off, meeting time, etc.
3. Eligibility
For safety reasons, the following are not permitted to participate in the tour.
・Pregnant
・Drunken or hungover
・Pacemaker or heart problems
・People with respiratory problems (asthma, etc.)(plans including snorkeling/canyoning)
・People with mental disorders (epilepsy, dementia, developmental disorders, panic disorder, etc.)
・Cardiovascular problems
・Cerebrovascular problems
・Disabled
・Diabetes People with diabetes
・People with hearing or visual impairment only
*Please consult with us in advance if you wish to participate in the tour accompanied by a helper or interpreter.
・People who weigh 100 kg or more (for plans including SUP canoeing/canyoning)
・People with other chronic illnesses, fevers, injuries, etc.
*Please inform us in advance if your symptoms are not so serious.
・For SUP, the minimum age is 12 years old; if you have children between 6 and 11 years old, please choose canoeing.
4. Cancellation of the event
・The meeting and dismissal times may vary depending on the season and field conditions on the day of the tour. The store will contact you the day before the tour with details about the meeting place and time.
・The schedule is subject to change depending on the weather, tide level, and number of participants on the day of the tour.
・The tour will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled if we deem it unsafe to conduct the tour.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by the customer for any reason will incur the following cancellation fees: ・Cancellation up to 5 days prior to the tour
・Cancellation up to 5 days before the tour: Free of charge
・Cancellation 4 days before the tour to 18:00 the day before: 50%
・Cancellation after 18:00 the day before or without notice: 100% of the participation fee

6. Other
・Please change into clothes that you do not mind getting wet before the tour.
・Please use the restroom before coming to the event. (There are no restrooms near the site.)
・Please contact us in advance if you will be late.
・We will guide you to the best field depending on the wind direction, tide level, and crowds on the day of the tour.
*There is a possibility that we will guide you to the sea instead of the mangrove.
