Plan Overview
Irabu Island is accessible from Miyako Island. We introduce a half-day photo tour that allows you to fully enjoy its charms.
Crossing the longest free bridge in Japan, “Irabu Ohashi,” this plan takes you to the crystal clear sea, white sandy beaches, and mysterious spots. A local guide will lead the tour, so even first-time visitors to Irabu Island can feel at ease and fully enjoy the charm of the island.
This tour is recommended for those who want to leave their memories with beautiful photos and a high level of satisfaction in a limited amount of time!
Crossing the Irabu Bridge! The breathtaking view and the anticipation of the island
The photo tour begins as you cross the Irabu Ohashi Bridge, the longest free bridge in Japan at 3,540 meters long, from Miyako Island to Irabu Island.
From the bridge, a breathtaking view of the emerald green sea and the beautiful contrast of the lush green of Irabu Island unfolds before your eyes.
A local guide will explain the view from the bridge and the charm of Irabu Island beyond the bridge. As you gaze at the postcard-perfect scenery, your anticipation for Irabu Island will grow.
Enjoy the way the sunlight reflects off the surface of the water and the smell of the sea breeze carrying the scent of the tide as you begin your journey.
The crystal clear sea and white sandy beach! Mystery of Toguchi-no-hama and Tori-ike
Cross the Irabu Bridge, and the beach of Toguchi-no-hama, with its spectacular view of pure white sand and emerald green sea, awaits you.
The white sandy beach stretches for about 800 meters, and the fine powdery sand is so comfortable that you will be lost for words at the beauty of the beach. Walk barefoot on the beach, listen to the sound of the waves, and enjoy a truly relaxing moment.
After enjoying Watariguchi no Hama, head to “Dori Ike,” which is designated as a natural monument.
These two mysterious-looking ponds, one large and one small, are where seawater and rainwater mix to create a beautiful blue gradation. In this serene space, you will be able to feel the greatness of nature and relieve your daily fatigue.
17END’s spectacular views and encounters with the island’s unique nature
The next stop is “17END (One Seventeen End),” where a breathtaking view unfolds. The name comes from the number 17 on the pilot training runway at Shimojishima Airport, and it is one of the most spectacular spots that shows its true value at low tide.
The beautiful gradation of the white sandy beach that extends offshore and the sea that changes from emerald green to cobalt blue will deeply capture the hearts of visitors.
Take a commemorative photo with your best smile against the backdrop of a spectacular view that is sure to be a hit on social networking sites.
